Boxers Love Kids

When a Boxer meets children Magic happens. Boxers adore children. If you walk a Boxer down a crowded street you will invariably find that his attention is engaged by kids of all shapes and sizes. He finds them facinating creatures, and in your household he will almost always be found at the side of the littlest people around. A Boxer will take any amount of abuse from a child without a thought of retaliation. Indeed, he will seem to thrive on the sometimes careless games that a child may invent for this dog- the 2-year-old's "let's pour sand in his ears" or "lets pull his tail" game, or the 7 year old's "lets dress Gracie up in mom's clothes" antics. Boxers seem to understand instinctively the physical limitations of kids-from tiny tots to teens.

Our Boxers name is Gracie she is 4 years old and she is a wonderful dog infact one of my parents decided to get a Boxer because of how great she is with kid's. Boxers are rated one of the number one dogs to raise with young children. As you can see by the pictures below it's hard work being a dog in the Calvert Family!

Two years ago we added another doggy to the mix. This time we got a Boston Terrier named Huey. Huey's personality is just like Gracies. Infact he thinks he is a Boxer not a 14 lbs Boston Terrier.
